Every year we set aside the first week in August to attend the National Student Conference in Evansville, Indiana. Hundreds of college students from across the country will join together for great teaching and worship, workshops on a wide variety of subjects taught by experienced campus ministry staff, and a time to remember the mission God has given us on campus! This year's theme is The Heart of Worship, and features worship leader & songwriter, Marc Imboden, as our main speaker this year. Looking at the heart beat of the body of Christ as being the rhythm in the songs we sing to God, Marc will explore how worship influences our theology and how our theology ought to shape our expressions of affection to God in worship. Students will have a special workshop opportunity this year: Moving beyond snapshots by John Palmer Gregg, a writer and photojournalist currently serving as director of Storytellers, a ministry dedicated to telling the stories of missionaries, the churches that send them and the people they serve. This three day workshop focuses on learning how to capture meaningful photos and video instead of just snapshots. Participants will have the opportunity for both instructional and hands-on learning through teaching and covering the conference. Participants need to have a photo or video camera and a laptop to edit the images/video with. It's not too late to sign up! Email [email protected] to sign up!
