We are excited to have students returning to LLCC and UIS in the next couple of weeks, and we're ESPECIALLY excited to meet all of the new students looking for a place to belong for the next 2-4 years!  CSF's Welcome Week events are intended to give students an opportunity to find their people - to have some fun, get to know people, and get connected as a new semester begins.    At CSF, we're all about helping college students find their way back to God, but we know it often STARTS with finding your people!

One of the most exciting ways we begin to share the Gospel with International Students every year is through our Furniture Giveaway.  When these students pick out their very first pieces of furniture and have it delivered to their apartment, it often stirs up questions like " Why would you do this for us?" or "where did all of this furniture come from?".   That's when we have the opportunity to tell them about people in Springfield who are excited they are here and want to help them transition to living in the United States.  This often begins relationships that last between these international students and local volunteers, other students, and our staff which provide opportunities to share the Good News of Jesus in many other ways.  

There are several ways you can help us pull off this event! 
1) Donate furniture.  We take gently used furniture through our website (a more complete list of what we do and do not accept can be found there).

This summer we're connecting with recent grads in the Springfield area and going deeper with the students still on campus at our Monday Night Summer CSF Bible Studies! 

Do you know someone who will be attending LLCC or UIS in the Fall?  Think of how much easier it would be for them if they already knew some other students and had a faith community they were connected to?   We'd love to help!  Students can get more info by scanning this QR code and our staff will follow up with you!​

All college-age students are invited to join us this summer beginning June 3rd for "Bible Study + ______"!

​Each Monday at 7pm we'll meet in the PAC Conference Room B for a Bible study, followed by something else...sand volleyball, ice cream, board games, and whatever else you suggest! Think about the students you know who are around this summer and need a faith community and invite them to come with you! See you on June 3rd!

The school year has officially wrapped up! The graduates have turned their tassels and students are beginning their summer vacations. We've had the chance to reflect on a great year where we met nearly 350 new students, consistently had over 60 students involved in our ministry, and had CSF students share the gospel more times than CSF staff!  We ended our semester celebrating what God has started and honoring our graduates as they end this season.

Rez Week was filled with intentional opportunities for students to connect with the Gospel in creative ways. 

• We started the week with a night of Prayer.  Over 50 students spent time praying over the different areas and people groups on campus, asking God to move powerfully in the lives of college students
• Tuesday students invited friends to play dodgeball and make Tie Dye tshirts.  The activities gave extended times to sit and talk with new students as they created their masterpieces.
• Thursday students served the campus in the most self-less way they could come up with - doing the MOST HATED job in most student apartments:  Taking the trash and recycling out to the dumpsters in the parking lots.   The college student version of foot-washing was an act of love and humility. 
• We hosted a Good Friday service  on campus and took some time to remember the price Jesus paid on the cross.

Once a month we try to disrupt our normal Monday Night routine for an intentional time of prayer for the campus - thanking God for what we've seen him do, and asking him to come again in power!
