This year, we've been excited to have a large number of Nigerian students involved in CSF! Both undergraduates and graduate students, these students are involved in Monday Night Worship, small groups, worship team, International Student Outreach, and many more areas. Last week we had a special night to learn all about their culture, eat Nigerian food, and learn some of their dances. What a great opportunity for American and International Students to learn more about one another!

October gave us lots of opportunities to connect with students at UIS! CSF hosted the first ever Spooky Bingo Night - Costumes, Bingo, food and prizes brought over 60 students to the Student Center Ballroom for a spooky-fun night! It was also the month of the UIS International Festival! CSF hosted a table and handed out hot Nigerian chocolate "tea".
Every Monday night at 8pm, students from UIS and LLCC join together for a time of worship and teaching from the Bible. Most Mondays we're in the UIS Student Center Ballroom, some weeks it's the Student Life Building Gym, but every Monday night it's a place where students can encounter God and be known by Him - because we know that changes everything!
We are so grateful for a Welcome Week that *almost* felt "normal". CSF'ers made connections with over 150 students - throwing jello, playing Nine Square, at Monday Night Worship, hosting a Freshman Breakfast, eating Nachos, and simply walking through the Student Union. Our prayer is that each student will get connected with CSF through a small group, Monday Night Worship, or another event, and hear the Gospel from one of their peers!
Students, we can't wait to meet you!!
Starting at a new school can be intimidating. It can feel lonely. Especially when everyone is wearing masks! CSF is pulling out all the stops with events and activities during the first couple of weeks to help you feel KNOWN, and get you connected with some people who can help make your experience at UIS the best ever! In just a few weeks, thousands of college students will return to the University of Illinois Springfield and Lincoln Land Community College campuses to pursue an education. CSF exists to help them find their way back to God! Today from 8am-9pm we invite you to join us on Facebook as we raise $12,000 to fund high-impact events during the first few weeks of the school year to build relationships with students and make disciples who will make disciples while on campus and for the rest of their lives! Donate today!
In just a few weeks, students will be returning to campus. 15-20 students have been meeting this summer and we can't wait to welcome the rest of campus back!
