Imagine flying half-way around the world to attend college with only a couple of suitcases and ending up in a city where you didn't know the neighborhoods, how to get around, or where to buy furniture.  The reality is, many international students come here to study, spending most of their money just to get here and get enrolled, and then sleep on the floor of an unfurnished apartment they share with several other students because of the cost of furniture, or they have no way of getting it home, or they just don't know where to find reasonably priced beds, tables and chairs.  

CSF is beginning a new program to help International Students with furniture!   We will collect donated furniture and store it in a warehouse we've been given.  Then on Tuesday, August 17th, we'll host a cookout and furniture give-away for International Students at UIS, building relationships and meeting real needs!  

Here's what we need from YOU!  Do you have furniture that's in great shape you don't happen to be using anymore?  Or do you own a pick-up truck or a trailer you'd be willing to let us use to collect and deliver furniture?
