Pray For Justice

Prayer is what brings the power to the work we do for justice.  Monday night we spent time praying for Justice - on our campus, in the ministries of our alumni, and in the lives of people on the other side of the world.
Sex Trafficking
Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand; forget not the afflicted. (Psalm 10:12)
We Pray For:
  • Freedom for those imprisoned in the sex trafficking industry.
  • Allison and her organization to have love and wisdom as they serve the youth in Thailand.
  • You, Jesus, to help the youth rehabilitate from the wounds they’ve experienced and ultimately find peace, restoration, innocence and joy in relationship with You.
Youth/Orphans in Grand Savane, Haiti
“You have been the helper of the fatherless.” (Psalm 10:14)
We Pray For:
  • Sam and Jessica Jakaitis/In His Hands Orphans Home – provision for every need they have - spiritually, physically, emotionally, financially,
  • For the orphans there to experience you as their “Helper” in supernatural ways - growing to have relationship with you, overcoming the obstacles they’ve experienced to eventually go to school and be able to provide for themselves
Racial Reconciliation
"All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation" (2 Corinthians 5:18)
We Pray For:
  • Us as Christians to be reconciled to our brothers and sisters of all races - so that they would see and come to know that Christ reconciled us to himself.
  • African Americans who experience the impact of racial discrimination today to find healing, protection from harm, and reconciliation in even the most unlikely places.
Homeless
35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me (Matt. 25:35)
We Pray For:
  • Us as Christians to grow in compassion -to willingly and courageously give of our time, energy, and finances out of love for You, God.
  • Provision for the homeless in Springfield - physically, as well as emotionally, spiritually.
  • Kit packing on Thursday the 17th: That it would be a useful tool for reflecting Your love and provision to the homeless in Springfield.
