More Than Just Surviving This Summer

There are lots of things that can derail your summer.....right now you have dreams of adventures with friends, catching up on sleep, and reading the stuff you actually WANTED to read, but it's very possible that come August, you'll look back on the summer and wonder where in the world it went!   We don't want you to simply SURVIVE the summer....we're hoping that students will THRIVE!

Here are a few things you're going to need for your journey:
1.  Community.  You need people who are encouraging and challenging you spiritually. Whether that's a weekly skype call with an accountability partner or the Monday night CSF Summer Small Group, you need other people!  Dig in at a church.  Find a small group.  Don't do it alone.

2.  Spiritual Training.  The National Student Conference in August is a huge opportunity for spiritual velocity. Maybe you've been around CSF for a bit and are ready to start pitching in....this will help give you great training, tool, and resources to grow your faith!  Cost is $225 and is due by July 30th.   Read.  Check with people in your small group or the CSF staff about something good you could be reading this summer.

3.  A Spiritual Major.  What’s one thing you want to grow in this summer?  Maybe you’ve never established the discipline or routine of spending time with God every day….Maybe this is the summer you’re going to begin keeping a prayer journal.  Or reading everything you can about prayer.  Maybe this is the summer you need to begin memorizing scripture.  Maybe it’s evangelism and you’re challenging yourself to have one spiritual conversation EVERY DAY with a non-christian.   What’s one spiritual goal you can set for your summer?   This week we hope you’ll share those with your small groups and hold each other accountable for doing a little spiritual Independent Study course this summer!
